The Plastic Bottle Globe, created by Artist Er. Mohammed Kashif at Boat Club, Bhopal, is a landmark Waste-to-Art installation made from approximately 400 kg of waste plastic and 15,000 plastic bottles, transforming discarded material into a powerful representation of the Earth.
Its green and blue surface symbolizes land and water, while the recycled plastic highlights the urgent need to reduce plastic pollution and protect the environment. Designed as a Plastic Donation Center and Selfie Point, the installation encourages people to donate plastic waste and participate in creating cleaner, more responsible communities.
Completed in nearly three months, the project combines art, innovation, engineering, and environmental awareness. It was inaugurated in the presence of actress Bhumi Pednekar, city officials, and dignitaries and received wide media attention for its concept and public impact.
The Plastic Bottle Globe earned recognition from the Asia Book of Records and International Book of World Records, reflecting Kashif’s vision of using art to transform waste, inspire awareness, and create meaningful social change.
